I liked the location in relation to the event we were going to at the RDS nearby (Megacon Jan 2025). Made it very easy to come and go as we wished. Similarly, with the bus lines only across the road, making getting to other parts of Dublin quick and handy. The rooms we were staying in were clean and had what we needed for the weekend stay. The front desk was accommodating in getting our rooms connected, which I appreciated. Also, on our day to check out, they were gracious in allowing us to both, keep our luggage with the hotel after we had finished our stay and, eat in the bar/ restaurant downstairs for lunch. Overall, it was a great place to stay at for the event we were attending just around the corner at the RDS. I would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation in the future.

Pros and Cons together... Clean and ideally close to the RDS too..heat in the room was unbearable... should be checked before guests check in. What a waste of energy, especially when hotels try to save money to stay competitive. Thermostatic valves on heating would save money. Hotel maintenance take note !!!!! Good breakfast selection but hot food on cold plates? Really ? In 2024, cold plates for hot food are well below par. Overall, the hotel was clran and stylish, but lacked a bit in customer service... Attention to detail is really important !! When you pay more, you expect more.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Clayton Hotel. The hotel is in a grand/beautiful building. I had limited interacation with the staff, but those I did interact with were very pleasant and helpful. My room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The breakfast had a nice variety of items and evertything was tasty. The location was far enough from the city center to remove one from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for one to walk to the city center if one likes. I would not hesitate to stay at the Clayton Hotel on my next visit to Dublin.
